Remodeling and Renovating Home Four Things You Hate About Your Bathroom
|
You read somewhere that bathroom improvement is a sure way to increase the market value of your home. You agree! Now let's get started. Wait! Before you start whacking the toilet with a sledgehammer, are you sure you know what you're doing? It's important to think practical when remodeling your bathroom and to have a detailed plan in place. When considering ways to improve your bathroom, think about things you currently don't like about your flushing sanctuary. As a matter of fact, think of four things you hate about it! Now you have some practical ideas.
1.I hate having only one bathroom!
Who doesn't? Man was not meant to share bathrooms, though the economy usually makes it necessary. But now that you have some extra money why not make room for a second bathroom in your renovation? It's great for real estate and definitely a comfort to everyone in the house.
2.I hate how small it is in here!
Nobody likes a tiny sanctuary, and many bathrooms can be unbearably small. If you have money to invest, why not make it a much bigger place? This is attractive to guests, great for real estate and very convenient considering that really small bathrooms can lead to more accidental tripping.
3.I hate my boring white bathtub.
Take a look at some of the luxury baths that can be installed in a normal everyday house. Not spas mind you-but air baths. Air baths can feature what is called chromatherapy, which safely turns your bath into a relaxing, visually pleasing light show. Water appears to change with underwater LED lights and a button can control the hue. If your bathroom is already big enough and you have an extra one downstairs, why not invest in a little excess? The retail price of these air baths is less than $8,000.00.
4.I hate the icky looking tile on my shower.
You sure hate your current bathroom! No problem, this is why people remodel. Why live with a regular white or ugly beige colored shower tile when you can afford to improve the aesthetic? Replace your old tile with colorful ceramic tile and if you're really up for something new, choose a decorative painted tile which features an original drawing. If you have money to spare, turn your small square shaped shower area into a larger three or five panel wall system complete with shower ceiling tile. It definitely gives your guests something to talk about.
The things you hate about your bathroom can be the future plans for your remodeling.
